Open it on TradingView

Go to the btclyzer Trend Tide script page and click Add to favorite indicators.

Add it to your chart

On any chart, open Indicators → Favorites (or Community Scripts and search "btclyzer Trend Tide"), then click it to drop it on the chart.

Set a flip alert (optional)

Right-click the chart → Add Alert → choose Trend flip UP or Trend flip DOWN to get notified on a new trend.

Why it looks good on every timeframe

Most "cycle" or fixed-length indicators only make sense on one chart — they go flat and useless when you change the timeframe. Trend Tide is different: the Hull moving average and the ATR are computed from the chart's own timeframe, so the baseline, the tide and the cloud all rescale automatically. The visual quality is identical on a 1-minute scalp and on the weekly swing chart, and it works on any symbol — Bitcoin, altcoins, forex, indices or stocks.

What each layer tells you

  • Baseline (Hull MA). Direction. Green = uptrend, red = downtrend. The Hull MA reacts faster than a plain EMA without the usual whippy noise.
  • Tide glow. Momentum. The further price stretches from the baseline relative to ATR, the brighter the fill — an instant read on whether a move is accelerating or fading.
  • Volatility cloud. Context. ATR bands show how much room the current range has, so you size expectations and stops against real volatility.
  • MTF dashboard. Alignment. When 15m, 1h, 4h, 1D and 1W all point the same way, you're trading with the higher-timeframe tide rather than against it.

No-repaint, by design

Trend-flip markers are gated to confirmed bars, and every higher-timeframe value in the dashboard is read from the last closed bar. That means a flip you see in the history is exactly where it happened, and a flip forming on the live candle waits for the close before it's confirmed. No future leak, no retroactive redraw — the honesty that a lot of paid "signal" indicators quietly skip.

Is btclyzer Trend Tide free?
Yes — completely free and open-source on TradingView. Any TradingView user, including the free Basic plan, can add it at no cost. You do not need a paid subscription to use a public open-source script.
Does the indicator repaint?
No. Trend-flip markers print only after the bar closes, and the multi-timeframe dashboard reads the last closed higher-timeframe bar. Signals confirm on close and don't move retroactively. On the live, unclosed candle the indicator waits for the close before confirming a flip — that's the no-repaint guarantee, not a delay.
Which timeframes and markets does it work on?
Every timeframe and any symbol. The Hull MA and ATR are computed from the chart's own timeframe, so it reads identically on 1m and on the weekly. It works on Bitcoin, altcoins, forex, indices and stocks.
Do I need a paid TradingView account?
No. Adding a free, public, open-source indicator works on every plan, including the free Basic account. A paid plan only matters if you want more indicators per chart or more alerts overall — not for using Trend Tide itself.
Can I get alerts on trend changes?
Yes. The indicator ships with "Trend flip UP" and "Trend flip DOWN" alert conditions. Add them from TradingView's Add Alert dialog for a push, email or pop-up when the trend changes.
Is this financial advice?
No. Trend Tide is a context and visualisation tool, not a buy/sell system. It shows trend and momentum; your entries, exits and risk management are yours. Always do your own research.
